| 一間公司的銷售好不好，它的銷售管道的系統是舉足輕重的。 What are the major channels of distribution? 「你們主要的銷售管道是甚麼?」 你不要誤會 Channel 是一般的電視頻道，以為人家的東西在電視購物頻道上拍賣的，在商業上指的 Channel 就是「銷售管道」的意思。這個管道可能是傳銷multi-level marketing、直銷direct marketing、電話行銷tele-marketing 或是郵遞行銷mail order selling或在零售店舖銷售retailing，包括連鎖店(聯營店) chain stores、百貨公司department store、專門店 pro-store 等等，都是常見的銷售管道。 |

| 分銷 商品的分銷，英文叫distribution，經銷通路則叫channel of distribution或distribution channel。「你們的產品是經由甚麼經銷通路送到消費市場的？」英文是By what distribution channels do your products reach the consumer market? 貨物經銷通路有多種。生產商可以有自己的銷售隊伍(a sales force)，直接發貨給零售商(retailer)，而商鋪、超級市場等貨物零售地點，就叫retail outlet，例如：Our sales force must work hard to increase our sales outlets.（我們的零售隊伍必須努力，增加我們貨品的零售點。） 當然，生產商也可以經由批發商(wholesaler)，把貨物送到零售商手上。The products are distributed through wholesalers. 即「產品經由批發商分銷」。Wholesale, retail兩字，都可以作動詞、形容詞 (adjective) 和副詞 (adverb)，例如：(1) They retail / wholesale books and stationery.（他們零售 / 批發書籍和文具。） (2) What´s the retail / wholesale price of the product?（這產品的零售 / 批發價是多少錢？）(3) They buy wholesale and sell retail.（他們大批買入，然後零售。） 無論是批發商還是零售商，都可以叫distributor（分銷商）。而無論用甚麼方式銷售，最重要的是分銷網完善。所以檢討貨物銷售量的時候，有一個問 題必須考慮：Have we got a well-organized distribution network?（我們的分銷網完善嗎？） |
