兩個時態比較﹕
一
般現在時﹐是指經常發生的事情﹐今天學的現在進行時﹐是指現在正在發生的事情。比如﹕I study Chinese. 我學中文。如果誰說I
study 或者you study 這就是說他們常做這件事情﹐也許他們在學校上一門課。 I’m studying Chinese.
我在學中文呢。這裡是I’m studying 而不是I study. 如果誰說“I’m studying”或 “you’re
studying”就是說這個人在我們說話的時候手裡有一本書﹐他也許是在看書或是在做作業。我們再比較一下對話裡的句子。

這兩個問題在日常生活中常用。你不知道什麼字或什麼話是什麼意思的時候﹐就對講英語的人問 "what does this mean?"
他們就會告訴你. 如果你需要誰幫忙﹐只要說"can you help me please?" 別人就會來幫忙.

在申請表上常問的問題

意思是社會安全號﹐社會安全號是九位數字467-39-4521。有時也可以縮寫成SSN。

gender 是性別的意思.

性別只有兩種

female 女

請把這兩個字記住﹐寫對性別很重要。如果把男的寫成女的﹐女的寫成男的就有意思了。特別是美國人不能從我們的名字裡辨別出來是男還是女。
