第1輯 第8課 I hope you get well soon.
到醫院探病是一個很大的學問，到底你應該帶些甚麼去？鮮花、水果？還是營養食品？還有到了那裡應該說些甚麼話呢？如果使用英文，你只要簡單地說："I hope you get well soon." 也就是中文說的「祝你早日康復。」
對話
A:Hi there. How are you feeling?Any better?
甲:嗨，你覺得怎麼樣？有沒有好了一點？
B:A bit better, thank you.
乙:好了一點，謝謝。
A:I hope you get well soon.
甲:希望你早日康復。
B:Thank you. I´m sure I will. The doctor said I´ll completely recover by next month at the latest.
乙:謝謝你。我相信快好了。醫生說我最遲會在下個月完全康復。

"I hope you get well soon." 「祝你早日康復。」其實當你去醫院探病，帶甚麼東西並不是很重要，只要你有空去陪陪他，相信他一定會早日康復的。除了那句話，你還可以告訴他："Take care of yourself." 「自己多多保重。」
如果你的朋友是因為失戀而得心病，以上兩句話就不適用，你應該告訴他："I hope you feel better." 「願你心情好轉。」
"探病"
去醫院探病，首先會問人家覺得怎樣。除了說How are you feeling today ? 還可說：
(1) Are you all right?（你還好嗎？）
(2) Are you doing better today?（你今天好些了嗎？）。
假如見病人面色不錯，可以加上一句Your color (colour) is good.；面色比以前好一點，可以說You have a bit more color (colour) in your cheeks now.；面色比以前差了，則可以說You have lost color (colour).，只是這一句話往往都不會說出來。當然，你也可以說You look good（你看來不錯）、You´re looking better.（你看來好些了）等等。
帶甚麼東西去探病雖然不很重要，但通常都會跟病人談到，例如：I´ve brought you some flowers / fruit / magazines. Shall I put it / them on your bedside locker ?（我給你帶了些鮮花╱水果╱雜誌來，放在床邊櫃上好嗎？）病人回答，可以說：Yes please. That´s very kind of you.（就放在櫃上好了，謝謝你。）
問人家還要住院多久可說：(1) How long will you be here ?（你還要在這裡住多久？）(2) When are you being released ?（他們甚麼時候放你出院？）要代親友問候病人，可說Tom sends his love. 之類。離去前則可以說：Get well soon.（祝早日康復。）或The visiting time has just about ended. I´ll pop in to see you again in the next couple of days. （探病時間快過了，我過幾天再來看你。）
